Endophytic fungi in roots of native orchids of rupestrian grasslands (campos rupestres) in Serra do Cipó, Brazil

Root endophytic fungi are essential to the life cycle of orchids. Many them act as growth promoters host plant and mycorrhizal endophytes indispensable seed germination. This study aimed evaluate cultivable fungal richness five native orchids rupestrian grasslands (campos rupestres) in Serra do Cipó, Brazil. Healthy roots were sampled isolated, from which total DNA was extracted Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) region amplified sequenced. Analysis 32 sequences permitted identification 25 species phyla Ascomycota Basidiomycota. Nine isolates belonged Basidiomycota genera Sebacina Tul. & C. Tulasnella J. Schröt., contain important Same obtained different growing on distinct substrates. Fungal molecular indicates high endophyte supporting grasslands.
